Father’s Day 2015

DaddyWhat else can I say about my wonderful, marvelous father that I have not said in previous Father’s Day blog posts that you can view by going through the month of June starting in 2011 or hitting the Father’s Day tag? My father loved the Lord and he was so friendly! Although I deeply miss him, he is with the Lord which is the best place to be for eternity. One day I will be with him again.

My father loved traditional Christian music. He loved hymns. Here is one hymn sung in his preferred music style. I can picture him now singing along in his tenor voice.

2015 Mother’s Day Tribute

, , , , , , , , , , ,

mom_me_2013I have posted about my mother for Mother’s Day since doing this blog. She is still going strong at 89 years of age. If you go through my Mother’s Day May posts in this blog’s archive, you will find out that my mother made fabulous suites, dresses, and hats. She was the kind of parent teachers loved because she would not stand for me and my siblings cutting up in school. We had to behave and respect the teachers. My mother loves the Lord Jesus Christ as her savior. You will also read of her health issues and realize that the good Lord blessed her to still be here with a sharp mind. Thank you, Lord.

Mothers Day2

The photo is of my mother and me is from early April of 2013. She still looks the same. I always post a music selection that she especially enjoys. For this year, it is Every Praise by Hezekiah Walker.

It’s Easter…Happy Resurrection Day 2015

, , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

This is a mix of mostly of a previous post, “Resurrection Day 2012: We Have a Living Savior” from my blog, Right Cogency and with some additions. The music offerings are from Christian contemporary and traditional Christian hymn music.

My redeemer Jesus Christ lives. He lives today. Jesus Christ is eternal. Today many celebrate Easter. There are Christians from strong bible teaching churches who prefer to call this day Resurrection Day. Christians are celebrating the culmination of Christ Jesus’ death and burial, which is the resurrection. He took the punishment for our wrong through crucifixion. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

After, his burial, up from the grave he arose on the third day and ascended to be with God the Father. His tomb was empty (Luke 24 and 1 Corinthians 15:3-5) Jesus reigns as the only wise and loving Savior. Praise the Lord. In the non-Christian faiths, prophets and even animals receive worship. They are all mortal, having been born and died or will die. None of them are eternal and live and reign with God. Only Jesus Christ can do that. Only Christians can claim a living Savior. Hallelujah.

On the Cross

2 Corinthians 5:21

For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

John 15:13

Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
